CTA Part 2

Alright, so like I said ... just say things with confidence :-)

Well, after the excitement of the taxi cab we arrived at O'Hare ... where we found a train and started to board, however I soon realized it was the train to the parking lot ... not the city! So, off to find the CTA train we went! We were in the wrong part of the airport which meant about a 20-minute walk to the train station where we bought our farecards and headed for the train. Now, in my previous experiences the train stations are well layed out with maps available for you to take and plan your trip while you ride the train. So, that was my plan ... grab a map, get on the train, and figure it out ... but not so fast. Chicago doesn't give out fun little maps showing you the city and the sites of interest.

So, at O'Hare the train only runs one direction ... into the city ... so we got on the train. Quickly to be ushered off the train by CTA Staff. I didn't mind the extra wait, but for the people from Chicago they were not at all happy!

Finally, after waiting several minutes we were allowed to board the train and begin our trip downtown. The trip was uneventful and after about an hour ride I guessed that we should exit at The Loop and begin walking towards Lake Shore Drive (after I asked a lady which direction that was just to find out we were walking the wrong way).

So, after an afternoon downtown the trip home begins...
